RA-65693 Alrosa announced that they will retire their TU-134 due to the lack of spare parts and high operating costs next year. So this is your last chance to fly with the last TU-134 in regular passenger service in the world based in Mirny seen here decelerating after a flight from Irkutsk. I arrived on this Soviet aircraft built in 1980 earlier that day from Novosibirsk! (mehr von RA-65693)

RA-85684 Still going strong after many years of service and a great highlight to end my spotting day at DME! Alrosa still operates 4 TU-154 and RA-85684 is the only one in the new colour sheme. This aircraft suffered a complete electrical failure in 2010 forcing an emergency landing at the closed Izhma airport where it overran the runway. Fortunately, all passengers survived and the aircraft was repaired! (mehr von RA-85684)
