1. | Stephen C. Reglar (02-02-2011 22:31:16) Great photograph of our aircraft from an unusual view. Could I just point out that she started life as a B(I)8 making her first flight on 30th January, 1956. In the mid 1970s she was heavily modified with the removal of the offset cockpit, a B.2 cockpit put in its place and a specially fabricated extended nose - one of four she is known to have carried - grafted on to that for radar development work. She is officially described as a Canberra B(I)8/B.6 Mod. She celebrated her 55th birthday on 30th January, 2011 with a run down Bruntingthorpe's runway.
